FLEURETTE I WAS CRYING EVERY DAY. I WAS THINKING ABOUT MY EDUCATION. I SAID WHO IS GOING TO PAY FOR MY SCHOOL?” “ I WAS BORN IN PETITE GOAVE on August 5, 1991. At the age of eight my mom and my dad sent me to King’s Garden. My mom has eight children, five girls, three boys. Before I went to King’s Garden I remember things weren’t very easy for my family. My mom was a grocery retailer, selling soap, Clorox, spices in a little open market they call Seradot and my dad was a carpenter. They did everything possible to send me to school. The reason my mom sent me to King’s Garden is because she did not have the means to send me to school. I realize it was a blessing from God for me. The reason I say that is because when I left King’s all my little sisters already had kids. That’s why if God did not reserve the place for me I too would already of had a kid. When I left King’s I was really sad. I was crying every day. I was thinking about my education. I said who is going to pay for my school because my mom is not able to. My dad is not able to help me. Neither are my older brother and my older sister. That’s why I was sad. I would like to become a nurse, lawyer, or judge. I like to go to the beach. www.heartenhaiti.org
